The requirements for Level 3 achievement
in this competency are that the student must: |

|
1)
Receive an Honors grade in at least 6 of the required third-year
clerkships that are four |
||
|
2)
Score on the USMLE Step 2CK at least 1.5 standard deviations above the
mean of the prior year's fourth year class from IUSM, OR |
||
|
3) Score at least one
standard deviation above the prior year's fourth year IUSM class mean on the
sum of the Step 1 and Step 2CK scores, OR |
||
|
|
|
4)
Propose to the Competency Director via ECMS an independent study
project in advance of its completion and gain his/her approval for a |
|
5) Complete the online course "Essentials of Complementary and Alternative Medicine" on the Angel website and an additional project as outlined in the course syllabus. For details, please contact Dr. Brokaw at jbrokaw@iupui.edu. |

personal statement for residency application or, if not entering residency, a
